This Privacy Policy explains how 9437-1325 QUÉBEC INC, operating as Trybe ("Trybe", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our platforms and services.
1. Introduction
Trybe operates two interconnected platforms:
- Trybe.fm – A social event platform where users can discover events, purchase and transfer tickets, connect with other attendees, and subscribe to event organizers for updates.
- nest.trybe.fm – A software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for Event Organizers, Promoters, and Brands to create and manage events, sell tickets, and engage with their audience through marketing campaigns.
This Privacy Policy applies to both platforms and describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our platforms, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Our platforms are operated from Canada, and your data may be stored and processed in Canada. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to Canada and the processing of your data in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.
2. Definitions
The following definitions apply throughout this Privacy Policy:
"Account" refers to a User's personalized digital environment on either Platform.
"Attendee" refers to any individual who purchases a Ticket or receives a transferred Ticket to attend an Event.
"Bio Page" refers to an Organizer's, Promoter's, or Brand's public page on Trybe.fm where visitors can view information and subscribe to receive communications.
"Brand" refers to any business or entity using nest.trybe.fm to promote products, services, or partnerships in connection with Events, without necessarily selling tickets.
"Event" refers to any festival, concert, party, or live experience organized and managed through our Platform.
"Event Chat" refers to the communication channel created for each Event where Organizers can send critical updates to Ticket holders.
"Organizer" or 'Event Organizer' refers to any individual or entity using nest.trybe.fm to create Events, sell Tickets, and manage their audience.
"Platform" refers to Trybe.fm, nest.trybe.fm, and any associated mobile applications or services.
"Promoter" refers to any individual or entity using nest.trybe.fm to promote Events on behalf of Organizers without directly selling tickets.
"Services" refers to all services provided by Trybe through the Platform.
"Subscriber" refers to any individual who has opted in to receive email and/or SMS communications from an Organizer, Promoter, or Brand.
"Ticket" refers to the digital admission pass that grants an Attendee access to an Event.
"User" refers to any individual who creates an Account or uses the Platform, including Attendees, Organizers, Promoters, and Brands.
We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with our Platform.
3.1 Information We Collect from All Users
Account Information:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password (encrypted)
- Profile picture (required for accessing the Attendees connection feature)
Device and Usage Information:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and features used
- Date and time of access
- Referring website or source
Location Information:
- General location based on IP address
- Event location preferences
3.2 Information We Collect from Attendees (Trybe.fm)
Ticket Purchase Information:
- Billing name and address
- Payment method details (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
- Transaction history
- Ticket transfers (sender and recipient information)
Social and Connection Information:
- Profile picture (required to view and connect with other Attendees)
- Connection requests sent and received
- Event attendance history
Communication Preferences:
- Email subscription preferences per Organizer
- SMS subscription preferences per Organizer
3.3 Information We Collect from Event Organizers (nest.trybe.fm)
Business Information:
- Organization or business name
- Contact information
- Billing and payment information for subscriptions
- Stripe Connect account information for receiving payouts
Event Management Data:
- Event details (name, date, location, description)
- Ticket types and pricing
- Attendee lists and check-in data
- Sales and revenue reports
Marketing Data:
- Imported contacts (contacts previously collected by Organizer with proper consent)
- Subscriber lists (email and SMS)
- Campaign history and analytics
- Custom phone numbers purchased for SMS campaigns
Instagram Integration Data:
- Business Instagram account connection status
- Icebreaker questions and responses configuration
- Auto-reply rules and keywords
- Analytics related to Instagram interactions (deleted upon disconnection)
3.4 Information We Collect from Promoters
Account Information:
- Name and contact information
- Associated Organizers and Events
- Promotional performance data
3.5 Information We Collect from Brands
Business Information:
- Brand or company name
- Contact information
- Associated Events and partnerships
- Marketing campaign data
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide and Maintain Our Services:
- Process ticket purchases and transfers
- Facilitate connections between Attendees
- Enable Event creation and management
- Process payments and payouts
To Communicate With You:
- Send transaction confirmations and receipts
- Deliver critical Event updates through Event Chat
- Send marketing communications (with your consent)
- Respond to support requests
To Improve Our Platform:
- Analyze usage patterns and trends
- Identify and fix bugs and technical issues
- Develop new features and services
- Conduct research and analytics
To Ensure Security and Prevent Fraud:
- Verify User identities
- Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions
- Protect against unauthorized access
- Enforce our Terms and Conditions
To Comply with Legal Obligations:
- Respond to legal requests and court orders
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Protect our legal rights and interests
5. Marketing & Communications
5.1 Email Communications
Organizer Marketing Emails:
When purchasing a Ticket, you may opt in to receive email communications from that specific Organizer by checking the email subscription checkbox. You can unsubscribe at any time by:
- Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email
- Managing your preferences in your Account settings
Bio Page Subscriptions:
You may subscribe to an Organizer's, Promoter's, or Brand's Bio Page to receive email updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Transactional Emails:
We will send you transactional emails related to your Account and purchases (e.g., order confirmations, ticket transfers, password resets). These are not marketing communications and are necessary for the operation of your Account.
5.2 SMS Communications
Organizer Marketing SMS:
When purchasing a Ticket, you may opt in to receive SMS communications from that specific Organizer by checking the SMS subscription checkbox.
To opt out of SMS communications:
- Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive
- Your opt-out will be processed immediately
Bio Page SMS Subscriptions:
You may subscribe to receive SMS updates from an Organizer's, Promoter's, or Brand's Bio Page. Standard message and data rates may apply.
5.3 Event Chat
Each Event has a dedicated chat channel. When you purchase a Ticket, you are automatically added to that Event's chat. This chat is used exclusively for critical Event updates such as:
- Changes to Event date, time, or location
- Important safety or logistical information
- Event cancellations or postponements
This is not a marketing channel. You can mute or leave the Event Chat at any time through the Platform.
5.4 Instagram Direct Messages
If an Organizer has connected their business Instagram account to nest.trybe.fm, you may receive automated direct messages when:
- You interact with an Organizer's Icebreaker questions (pre-configured Q&A)
- You comment specific keywords on an Organizer's posts that trigger Auto-Reply rules
These messages are sent on behalf of the Organizer through Instagram's messaging platform. Your interactions are governed by Instagram's own privacy policy in addition to this Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Integrations
6.1 Payment Processing (Stripe)
We use Stripe to process all payments on our Platform. When you make a purchase or receive payouts:
- Your payment information is provided directly to Stripe
- We do not store your full credit card number
- Stripe's use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy
- Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant, ensuring secure handling of payment data
6.2 Instagram Integration
Event Organizers may connect their business Instagram account to nest.trybe.fm to:
- Configure Icebreaker questions and automated responses
- Set up Auto-Reply rules for specific posts and keywords
Data Collection:
When connected, we collect analytics about Instagram interactions related to these features.
Data Deletion:
When an Organizer disconnects their Instagram integration, we delete all analytics and configuration data associated with that integration.
Your use of Instagram is subject to Instagram's (Meta's) own Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
7.1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us recognize your device, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our Platform.
7.2 Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies:
These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function properly. They enable core features such as:
- User authentication and session management
- Security features
- Shopping cart functionality
Analytics Cookies:
We use analytics cookies to understand how Users interact with our Platform, including:
- Pages visited and time spent

7.3 Managing Cookies

- Block all cookies

Data Collected:
Analytics tools may collect information such as:
- Pages visited and actions taken

This data is used to improve the Platform and is not used to personally identify individual Users for marketing purposes.
9. Data Sharing & Service Providers

9.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Cloud hosting and data storage
- Analytics and monitoring
- Customer support tools

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it for the purposes we specify.
9.2 Event Organizers
When you purchase a Ticket or subscribe to an Organizer:
- Your name, email, and phone number (if provided) are shared with the Organizer
- Organizers may use this information to communicate with you about the Event
- Organizers are responsible for their own use of your data in compliance with applicable laws
9.3 Other Attendees
If you upload a profile picture and access the Attendees feature:
- Other Attendees of the same Event can see your profile picture and name
- You may receive and send connection requests
9.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to:
- Court orders or legal processes
- Government or regulatory requests
- Protection of our legal rights
- Prevention of fraud or security threats
9.5 Business Transfers
If Trybe is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Account Data:
- Retained for the duration of your Account
- Deleted upon Account deletion request (subject to legal retention requirements)
Transaction Data:
- Retained for 7 years for accounting and tax purposes
Marketing Data:
- Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Organizer contact lists are managed by the respective Organizer
Analytics Data:
- Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely
- Individual session data is retained for up to 24 months
Instagram Integration Data:
- Deleted immediately upon disconnection of the integration
11. Your Rights & Choices
11.1 Access and Correction
You can access and update your Account information at any time by logging into your Account on the Platform.
11.2 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Account and associated personal data by:
- Sending an email to help@trybe.fm
- Using the support link available on the Platform
Upon receiving your request, we will:
- Verify your identity
- Delete your personal data within 30 days
- Retain only data required for legal or legitimate business purposes
Please note that some information may be retained in our backups for a limited period and that we cannot delete data that has been shared with Organizers prior to your request.
11.3 Communication Preferences
Email:
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email
- Manage Organizer-specific subscriptions in your Account
SMS:
- Reply STOP to any SMS to unsubscribe from that Organizer
Event Chat:
- Mute or leave any Event Chat through the Platform
11.4 Cookies
Manage cookie preferences through your browser settings as described in Section 7.3.
12. International Data Transfers
Our Platform is operated from Canada, and your data is primarily stored and processed in Canada (North America).
If you are accessing our Platform from outside Canada, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
By using our Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to Canada and the processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws.
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS)
- Secure password hashing
- Regular security assessments
- Access controls and authentication
- Secure payment processing through PCI-DSS compliant providers
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
