Questions about Instagram DMs.
For organizers and promoters, with tickets sold on Trybe or somewhere else.
How does Instagram comment-to-DM work on Trybe?
You connect your Instagram Business account and create a rule: pick the posts, the trigger (any comment or specific keywords) and the destination. When someone comments, Trybe sends them a DM with a button to your tickets and posts a public reply.
Which Instagram account do I need?
An Instagram Business account, connected through Meta’s official API from Marketing, Settings, Instagram. A personal account cannot be connected: Meta’s API for automated DMs requires a business account.
Can the DM send people to my ticket page?
Yes. The button in the DM can open one of your events on Trybe, your My Page or an external URL. Links are tracked, so orders that follow are attributed to the rule.
Can I trigger on a keyword like TICKETS only?
Yes. Choose comments with keywords and list them, plus words to exclude if needed. Or trigger on any comment on the post. Story replies can be a trigger as well.
Does Trybe also reply publicly to the comment?
Yes. You write up to 4 public replies and Trybe rotates them under the comments, so the thread shows the link was sent without repeating the same sentence every time.
Does this work if my tickets are sold elsewhere?
Yes. The rules work for events ticketed on Trybe and for launches of events hosted elsewhere; the button can open your Trybe page or an external URL. Revenue attribution exists for tickets sold on Trybe.
Free to start. You pay 0% on tickets.
Set it up tonight. It sells tomorrow.
Free to start. No card, and you don’t need an event yet.
