Meta ads, built from your event

Facebook and Instagram ads for your events

Make a Meta campaign from an event you already have, see which ad sold each ticket, and keep the ad spend inside the event’s budget.

For organizers and promoters. Sell your tickets on Trybe, or keep the ticket site you use now and run the ads from here.

How it works

Pick the event, and most of the campaign fills itself in.

Four short steps in Trybe. Nothing goes live until you press Publish, and you can pause or edit the campaign from Trybe afterwards.

  1. 1

Choose the event and a goal

Sell tickets, to reach the people most likely to buy, or get the word out, for when the date is far off or tickets aren’t on sale yet.

  2. 2

Pick 2 to 4 images or videos

From the event, your Facebook Page, your Instagram or your phone. Each one becomes its own ad, and Meta keeps showing the one that works best.

  3. 3

Set who sees it and what it spends

The audience starts around your venue, with a distance and an age range you can adjust. Then a daily budget and the dates it runs.

  4. 4

Review it and publish to Meta

Ads get a Book now button and link to your ticket page with their own tracking link. They run as your Page on Facebook, and as your Instagram account once it’s linked to the Page.

Ticket tracking

Each ticket sold on Trybe is traced to the ad that brought the buyer.

Every ad links to your event page with its own tracking link. When an order is completed through it, Trybe counts it for that ad, so the tickets and revenue you see come from real checkouts.

  • Meta’s own count stays on the page beside Trybe’s, so you can compare the two.
  • Trybe also sends checkouts and purchases to your Meta pixel from its server (the Conversions API), counted once with the browser, so Meta learns who buys.
  • No pixel yet? Trybe creates one in one click and puts it on the event page when you publish.

Event budget · Pro

Your ad spend lands in the event’s budget, next to the venue and the DJ.

The Budget page holds what the event costs and what comes in. Trybe sales and your Facebook and Instagram ad spend fill in on their own, so the profit at the top stays current.

  • Each line is an estimate or a final amount, with deposits, due dates and receipts.
  • A deal can be a flat amount, a fee per ticket or a share of ticket sales. The last two grow with every ticket sold.
  • Spend from every campaign on the event is converted into the event’s currency.
  • Set a good night and a great night as profit after every cost, ads included.

Sales plan · Pro

Spend, tickets and break-even on one chart.

Give the plan your numbers once: the tickets you plan to sell, the average price, your costs and your deals. It shows how many tickets cover the costs and the ads, where today’s pace lands, and what the next budget steps should add.

This week

38 tickets sold, and 16 came from ads at about $14 each.

Worth more budget

Above $32 a ticket, ads lose money.

Every morning

One budget move a day, and you decide whether it goes through.

At 9 AM on your ad account’s clock, the plan looks at the last 7 days of the ads that are running and picks the single move worth the most by the doors.

  • Apply the move yourself, or let Trybe apply budget steps at 11 AM unless you tap Remind me.
  • Pauses always wait for you, and every change Trybe sends to Meta is logged.
  • Raises come in steps of 25%, 50% or double, with 2 days between changes.
  • No raises in the last 3 days, and the ads stop when the doors open.
  • Each ad is judged on its own tickets: keep the best one, pause what spends without selling, refresh what people have seen too often.

Selling on Eventbrite, DICE or at the door works too, with a different count.

Trybe is for organizers and promoters wherever the tickets are sold. When they’re on another site, this is what changes.

Questions

What organizers ask before connecting Meta.

Something else on your mind? Our team answers.

You do, directly to Meta. Ad spend is charged to your own ad account with the payment method you set up there, and Trybe never touches that money.

A Facebook Page to run the ads as, a Meta ad account with a payment method, and a Trybe account. You connect them by logging in with Facebook. Link an Instagram account to your Page to run the ads as your Instagram account too. If you have no Meta pixel, Trybe creates one in one click.

No. Trybe is for organizers and promoters wherever they sell. With tickets on Trybe, each ticket is verified at checkout and traced to its ad. With tickets on another site, your ads can point to a Trybe launch page that sends buyers on, Trybe counts the clicks, and results come from Meta’s purchase count and the ticket counts you type in.

Every ad links to your event page with its own tracking link, and a completed order that came through that link is counted for that ad. Meta’s own figure is shown beside it. It usually runs higher, because Meta also counts purchases an ad only helped.

Yes. Campaigns in your connected ad account show up in Trybe, marked as not linked to an event. Link one to its event, or to the ticket link of an event sold elsewhere, and on Pro it gets a sales plan.

Only if you turn on Let Trybe apply budget steps, which is part of the sales plan on Pro. You get a notice at 9 AM and the change goes live at 11 AM unless you tap Remind me. Pauses always wait for you, and every change is logged.

Not today. The audience is built around your venue, with a distance, an age range and a gender setting, and Meta’s Advantage+ audience looks for the people in it most likely to respond.

The free plan lets one ad campaign run at a time, with as many drafts as you like, and includes tickets verified at checkout. Pro, at $79 a month, runs as many campaigns at once as you need and adds the event budget and the sales plan.

Put your next event in front of people near the venue.
