Publishing on Trybe is the switch that takes an event from a private draft to a live page at trybe.fm/event/your-event, and it is made for organizers and promoters who want to prepare a page before anyone sees it. Every event is created as a draft: you can add tickets, write the description and pick a theme without anything being public. When you publish, the event's web address locks and people who follow your organization receive a push notification and an email. Visibility is separate from status.
A public event is visible on Trybe.fm; an unlisted event is reachable only by people who have the link. You can publish with the date still to be announced, with the venue to be announced, or with a secret venue that is revealed closer to the event. Pre-sale mode shows a sign-up banner instead of tickets until you are ready. Unpublishing pauses ticket sales until you publish again, duplicating creates a fresh draft without dates or orders, and cancelling refunds every paid order in full. Included in the Free plan.
How it works
Create the draft
Fill in the name, dates, venue and cover. The event is saved as a draft that only your team can see.
Choose the visibility
Pick public to appear on Trybe.fm or unlisted for link-only access. Turn on pre-sale if tickets are not ready yet.
Add tickets and publish
Add at least one ticket tier, then publish from the event overview. Followers are notified by push and email.
Manage the live event
Unpublish to pause sales, duplicate to run it again, or cancel to refund every order in full.
Questions organizers ask
Can I create an event on Trybe without publishing it right away?
Yes. Every event is saved as a draft first, so you can add tickets, a description, a line-up and a theme before anyone sees the page. Publish whenever you are ready from the event overview.
What is an unlisted event?
An unlisted event is live but not listed on Trybe.fm, so only people with the link can open it and buy tickets. Event cards for unlisted events show the city with a limited-access note. You can switch between public and unlisted at any time.
Can I publish an event before I know the date or the venue?
Yes. Mark the date as to be announced and the page shows TBA until you set it. You can also publish without a venue, or set a secret venue that stays hidden from everyone until you reveal it.
What happens when I publish an event?
The page goes live at trybe.fm/event/your-event and the address locks. People who follow your organization get a push notification and an email about the new event.
Can I unpublish an event after it went live?
Yes. Unpublishing takes the page offline and pauses ticket sales until you publish again. Tickets already sold stay valid.
What happens if I cancel an event?
Cancelling refunds every paid order in full, including the service fees the buyer paid, and voids the tickets. You confirm by typing CANCEL, and the action cannot be undone.
