Import your contacts from Eventbrite, Posh or a CSV file
Trybe imports contacts from a CSV file. Export your attendee list from Eventbrite, Posh or any other tool, then go to Audience, Community and click Import contacts. Upload the file, match the columns and import. Only import people who agreed to hear from you.
Updated October 5, 2026
Before you start
- A CSV file where each person has at least an email, a phone number or an id from your own system. Name, city, country, birthdate and language are optional.
- From Eventbrite: download your attendee report as a CSV. From Posh: use the CSV of each event's attendees.
- Phone numbers work best in international format, like +15145550123.
Steps
Open Community
In the sidebar, open Audience, then Community, and click Import contacts.
Upload the CSV
Drop your file or click to browse. One CSV at a time.
Match the columns
Trybe matches common headers on its own, such as email, first name or phone. Check each match and set the rest by hand. Columns Trybe does not know can become your own fields.
Set consent
If your file has opt-in columns, match them. The switch If opt in is empty, treat as subscribed is on by default: turn it off if your list includes people who never agreed to hear from you.
Review and import
Optionally add everyone to a list, then click Review and import. Trybe tells you how many contacts were added, updated or skipped for format issues.
After the import
Your contacts sit in Community next to everyone who bought a ticket, subscribed to My Page or signed up for a pre-sale. Re-importing a file updates existing contacts but never resubscribes someone who unsubscribed.
