Automations

Automations run when a fan does something: follows you, buys a ticket, leaves a cart, has your event tomorrow. Trybe then sends the email or text, mints a unique promo code or updates a list, on its own, every time.

What is Automations?

Automations are flows that run on their own when fans act, built for organizers and promoters who don't want to send every message by hand. An automation starts from a trigger: new follower, new purchase, abandoned cart, refund request, before an event, after an event, event goes live, added to a list, birthday, or anything recorded in your data such as a scan at the door. It then runs steps: send an email, send a text, create a promo code unique to that person, schedule a campaign, add to or remove from a list, set a contact property or leave a note for your team, with waits, conditions and if/otherwise branches in between. Trybe's eight ready-made automations send for free; in the ones you build, an email costs 1 token per run and a text 10 tokens per part in North America or 25 international. A daily cap per person, honoured unsubscribes, quiet hours and mandatory stop rules protect your fans. Every run leaves a trace, and revenue is attributed by promo code, by link or inferred within 7 days.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick a trigger

Start from one of Trybe's ready-made automations or choose what starts yours: a purchase, an abandoned cart, 24 hours before an event, a new follower.

  2. 2

    Add the steps

Send an email or text, create a promo code, update a list, add waits and if/otherwise branches. Guided mode writes the whole thing as one plain sentence.

  3. 3

    Test, then switch on

Run a test to yourself, read the cost per run and the guardrails, then activate. Only activity from now on is included, never your existing records.

  4. 4

    Read every run

Each run shows what was sent, opened and clicked, why anyone was skipped, and the revenue Trybe can claim. Failed runs can be retried.

Questions organizers ask

What can an automation react to?

Ten triggers: new follower, new purchase, abandoned cart, refund request, before an event, after an event, event goes live, added to a list, birthday, and something in your data, which covers any recorded interaction such as a door scan. Each trigger can be narrowed with filters, for example to one event only.

What can an automation do once it starts?

Send an email or a text to the fan, to you or to a teammate, create a promo code unique to that person, schedule a campaign, add to or remove from a list, set a contact property or add a note. Between steps you can wait, continue only if a condition holds, or split into if/otherwise paths.

How much do automations cost to run?

Trybe's ready-made automations send for free, and so do messages to yourself or your team. In automations you build, an email step costs 1 token per run and a text 10 tokens per part in North America or 25 international. Trybe shows the cost per run before you switch anything on.

Will automations spam my fans?

No. Trybe caps automated messages per person per day across all your automations, honours unsubscribes everywhere, requires a stop rule on every wait and holds texts outside 8 AM to 9 PM local time. Running out of tokens pauses runs instead of skipping people.

Can I test an automation before it goes live?

Yes. A test run sends every email and text to you only, mints test promo codes and never touches money. When you activate, Trybe spells out what will happen, that only new activity counts and how many tokens you have left.

Do I need to sell tickets on Trybe to use automations?

No. New follower, added to a list, event goes live and birthday work for any organizer or promoter, including events sold elsewhere through Launches. Purchase, abandoned cart and refund triggers, and revenue attribution, rely on Trybe checkout.
