Add-ons & upsells

Add-ons appear after ticket selection under "Enhance your experience": merch, upgrades and extras. Each has its own price, inventory and refund policy, and shows up in orders and at the door.

What is Add-ons & upsells?

Add-ons let organizers sell more than the ticket in the same Trybe checkout: merch, upgrades and extras. Each add-on has a name, a cover image, a price, a quantity, optional per-order and per-account limits, and its own refund policy and refund window; you can hide it, mark it sold out, or make it exclusive to one ticket tier so it is only sold with that ticket. Fans see add-ons after choosing their tickets, in a step titled Enhance your experience, and pay for everything in one order. Promo codes apply to tickets only, not to add-ons. The buyer pays a service fee on add-ons at checkout, as on tickets, and the organizer receives the full add-on price. Every add-on sold appears on the order, in the add-on's Purchasers tab with an export, and to door staff when the ticket is scanned, so a VIP upgrade or a merch item can be handed over at the entrance. Add-ons and passes cannot be in the same cart. Add-ons are free for organizers hosting events on Trybe.

How it works

    Give it a name, a cover image, a price and a quantity.

    Set limits, a refund policy, and whether it is exclusive to one ticket tier or open to all.

    Fans add it at checkout

    After picking tickets, buyers see Enhance your experience and add what they want to the same order.

    Deliver at the event

    Add-ons show on the order and at scan time; the Purchasers tab lists everyone who bought one.

Questions organizers ask

What can I sell as an add-on?

Anything you hand over or grant at the event: merch, VIP upgrades, extras. Each add-on has its own price, quantity, image and refund policy, and it is sold in the same checkout as tickets.

Can I make an add-on available only with a certain ticket?

Yes. Mark the add-on as exclusive to a ticket tier and fans see that it is only sold with the selected ticket. Leave it open to offer it with any ticket.

Do promo codes apply to add-ons?

No. Promo codes discount tickets only. Add-ons are charged at their full price even when a code is used on the tickets in the same order.

Are there fees on add-ons?

Organizers hosting on Trybe pay 0% platform fees on add-ons, as on tickets. The buyer pays a service fee on add-ons at checkout, and you receive the full add-on price.

How does door staff know who bought an add-on?

Add-ons appear on the order and with the ticket at scan time, so staff can hand over merch or an upgrade at the entrance. The add-on's Purchasers tab also lists every buyer and can be exported.

Can add-ons be refunded?

Each add-on has its own refund policy and refund window, separate from the tickets. You refund line by line from the order, so you can refund an add-on without refunding the ticket.
