Open a pre-sale page to collect sign-ups before tickets drop

Turn on the Pre-sale switch on your event. The page then shows a sign-up banner instead of tickets, and fans leave their email or phone number. When you are ready, turn Pre-sale off to put tickets live and send a campaign to the people who signed up.

Steps

  1. 1

    Turn on Pre-sale

Switch on Pre-sale when you create the event, or from the switch at the top of the event page and confirm with Turn on pre-sale. Ticket sales stop and the page collects sign-ups.

  2. 2

    Share the page

Post the event link, or your My Page: its Pre-sales section lists every published event in pre-sale.

  3. 3

    Watch sign-ups come in

The event overview shows sign-ups, page views, emails and phone numbers collected. Sign-ups are saved to a Pre-sale list for the event in Community.

  4. 4

    Open sales

Turn Pre-sale off. Tickets go live on the page right away, with no confirmation needed.

  5. 5

    Announce the drop

Send an email or SMS campaign to the event's Pre-sale list. Trybe does not send the announcement for you. Once sales are open, the overview shows how many sign-ups bought a ticket.

Good to know

  • Emails about events you host on Trybe are free. Texts cost tokens: 10 per part in North America, 25 international.
  • Pre-sale also works on a Launch, the Trybe page for an event sold on another platform.
  • A draft event does not appear in the Pre-sales section of My Page: publish it first.
