Entry windows let organizers decide when a ticket tier can be used at the door, separately from when it can be bought. On any tier, set an access period with a valid-from and a valid-until time: an Early access tier valid before 11 PM, a Saturday day pass on a multi-day festival, or a Late entry ticket that only works after midnight. Buyers see the entry window on the ticket before they buy. At the door, the scanning app checks the window on every scan and rejects a ticket presented too early or too late, telling the staff member why: not valid yet, or no longer valid. A 2-minute grace period on each edge avoids arguments over a clock. Entry windows are different from sale windows, which control when a tier is on sale; use a sale window when you want VIPs or subscribers to buy before the public, and an entry window when you want them inside before everyone else.
