Turn on Require approval and your event becomes exclusive. Fans send a request with their name, photo and a social handle; their payment is held, not charged, until you accept. Rejected or expired requests are released.

Exclusive events in detail
Exclusive events let organizers choose who attends. Turn on Require approval when creating the event and the event page replaces the buy button with Request to attend. Fans pick their tickets, verify a short profile with their name, a photo and one social handle, answer your checkout questions, and send the request; their payment is authorized but not charged. Each fan can have one pending request at a time, and event cards on Trybe show an Exclusive badge.
In the dashboard's Access Requests page you see pending requests, the total tickets requested, and each guest's photos, name, social links and answers, with a warning if accepting would oversell a tier. Accept captures the payment and issues the ticket; Reject releases the hold with no charge; requests you never review expire after 7 days and release automatically. Review is manual, by you or your team. Door sales through Trybe Pass skip approval, so walk-ups on the night still work. Exclusive events are included in the Free plan.
How it works
Require approval
Turn on Require approval when you create or edit the event. It is now exclusive.
Fans request to attend
They pick tickets, confirm a short profile and send the request. Their payment is held.
Review the requests
See each profile and answers on the Access Requests page, with oversell warnings.
Accept or reject
Accept charges the hold and issues the ticket; reject releases it. Unreviewed requests expire after 7 days.

How do I make my event invitation-only or approval-based on Trybe?
Turn on Require approval in the event settings. The event becomes exclusive: fans request to attend instead of buying, and you accept or reject each request.
Is the fan charged when they send a request?
No. The payment is authorized when the request is sent and captured only when you accept. If you reject the request or it expires after 7 days, the hold is released with no charge.
What information do I see about each request?
The request shows the guest's name, photos, social links and their answers to your checkout questions, plus the tickets they asked for. You review it yourself; there is no automated identity check.
Can a fan send several requests?
No. Each fan can have one pending request at a time. If a request expires, they need to send a new one.
What happens if I accept more requests than I have tickets?
The Access Requests page warns you when accepting would oversell a tier, so you can decide before confirming. Accepting still captures the payments and issues the tickets.
Can I still sell tickets at the door for an exclusive event?
Yes. Door sales through your Trybe Pass QR code skip the approval step, so people who show up on the night can buy and walk in.
