The paid waitlist is Trybe's way of turning a sold-out ticket tier into confirmed sales rather than a list of names. Enable it on any tier that sells out; the event page then invites fans to join the waitlist by entering their card details. The card is authorized, not charged. In your dashboard you see every request with the tiers asked for, the amount on hold and a countdown to expiry, plus totals for potential revenue, confirmed sales and pending revenue. Accept a request and the payment is captured and the ticket issued; declined or expired requests release the hold with no charge. Holds last up to 7 days, so Trybe suggests enabling the waitlist within the last 7 days before the event. Standard requests can be accepted up to 5 hours before the event starts; fans who opt in to last-minute acceptance can be admitted right up to the start. Free events create waitlist requests too, without a payment hold. The waitlist is free for organizers hosting events on Trybe.
