Event chat, RSVP & Connect in detail
Event chat, RSVP and Connect are the social layer of a Trybe event page: they help fans meet before the night. Switch on the chat in the event editor and every ticket holder can join a group chat for that event: you post announcements, door info and live updates, fans ask quick questions, and messages can be reacted to, muted or reported. The page shows a card inviting fans to join the event chat to meet people going, ask quick questions and get live updates.
Above the tickets, the going strip shows how many people are going, or invites fans to be the first, and lets them RSVP without buying, so undecided fans still count. Connect is for fans who would rather not come alone: people attending the same event see each other, like or pass, match, and chat before the night with suggested ice-breakers. On desktop the page shows “Going alone? Connect and find a partner” in the side rail. For exclusive events, an accepted request adds the fan to the chat automatically when chat is on.

Questions organizers ask
How do I turn on a chat for my event?
Open the event editor and switch on the event chat. From then on every ticket holder can join the group chat for that event, and the event page shows a card inviting people going to join it.
Who can join the event chat?
People who hold a ticket for the event. For exclusive events, a fan is added when you accept their request. Fans join from the event page or from the Chat tab in the Trybe app.
What is the event chat for?
Announcements, door information, line-up changes and live updates from you, plus quick questions from fans. It is meant for the people attending, not for marketing; use campaigns for that.
Can fans RSVP without buying a ticket?
Yes. The going strip on the event page shows how many people are going and has an RSVP button anyone can tap. The count appears on the page and on the event card in discovery.
What is Connect?
Connect lets fans attending the same event find each other before the night: they see other attendees, like or pass, match and chat, with suggested ice-breakers to start the conversation. On desktop the event page shows a “Going alone? Connect and find a partner” card.
Can fans mute or report a chat?
Yes. Every chat has reactions, mute and report controls, so a fan can quiet a busy thread or flag a message. The same controls exist in Connect conversations.
